Glen Oaks names Gabby High Head Volleyball Coach
Lawton product leads Vikings into 2026
Glen Oaks Community College is proud to announce Gabby High as the next Vikings Volleyball Head Coach heading into the 2026 season.
High, a Lawton High School graduate, went on to play collegiate volleyball at Kalamazoo Valley and NCAA Division II Bowie State University in Maryland.
"We are thrilled to welcome Gabby High as our new Volleyball Head Coach," GOCC Athletic Director Devin Wilburn said. "Gabby brings a passion for teaching the game, building relationships and creating a culture rooted in accountability and growth.
"Her commitment to developing student athletes academically, athletically and personally aligns directly with our vision for Glen Oaks Athletics."
High was a multi-sport standout in high school, competing in volleyball, track and field, basketball and softball at Marcellus and Lawton. She was a Second Team All-Conference selection in basketball (2020-21) and volleyball (2021), a First Team All-Conference and All-Region pick in 2022, and made the Academic All-State list in volleyball (2020-22) and basketball (2020-21, 2021-22).
With coaching experience at Next Level Performance in Schoolcraft, Mich., and Metro Volleyball Club in Washington, D.C., High has worked with top talent for nationally ranked programs.
"I am excited about the opportunity at Glen Oaks because I truly value coaching at the community college level," she said. "I believe this stage is such an important time in a young woman's life, both athletically and personally. I want to use volleyball as an avenue to help these student-athletes grow in confidence, discipline, and leadership. My goal is to bring out the best in each player in every aspect I can. From that foundation, our success on the court will follow."
