It wasn't the outcome the Glen Oaks women's basketball team wanted Saturday on Sophomore Night, but the Vikings pushed Southwestern Michigan for 40 minutes in a 65-57 loss.
GOCC honored its outgoing five sophomores in the final game of the season, and two-year player Tracy Ackley put up a career-high 17 points in her last time wearing a Viking jersey. The center posted 10 points in the first quarter alone.
Fellow sophomores Jordyn Partee (13 points), Kennedy Lockett (5 points), Leigha Shudell (2 points) and Jayla Parker-Vincent also competed for GOCC for the last time and were honored after the contest.
Freshman Tayler Denton finished with 13 points, which included three 3-pointers, Zy'Asija Scott recorded four points, Braylyn Hernandez had two and Cami Turpin finished with one.

Glen Oaks wrapped up the year with an 8-19 overall record and 2-10 mark in the MCCAA Western Conference.
