Glen Oaks women cruise at home vs. Olivet JV
What looked early on to be a 3-point shootout Monday night at Glen Oaks Community College turned out to be a blowout. The Lady Vikings turned a five-point lead after the first quarter into an 83-39 victory over the University of Olivet JV squad.
Cami Turpin poured in a game-high 12 points and Jordyn Partee had 10 for Glen Oaks in the non-conference game. Turpin's offensive production came entirely in the second half and helped the Vikings put the game out of reach.
Jayla Parker-Vincent and Tracy Ackley each scored 9 points, Zy'Asija Scott, Kennedy Lockett and Braylyn Hernandez all finished with 8, Shelby McDaniel and Leigha Shudell registered 7 apiece, Tayler Denton hit a triple and Lilly Hofmeister finished with 2.
