The visiting Macomb Community College women's basketball team hit 14 3-pointers Friday and locked Glen Oaks down defensively en route to a 76-33 victory.
Improving to 5-3 for the year, the Monarchs were lead by double-digit scorers Kamryn Richards (17), Sydney Garon (12), MaKayla Downs (12) and Marissa Thomas (11).
Amanda Barber paced the Vikings with nine points and she added five rebounds to her stat line. Morgan Kurdziel scored eight points with seven rebounds, a steal and one assist.
It was a tough night from behind the arc for the typically on-target Vikings, as they hit just 3 of 31 attempts from 3-point land.
Glen Oaks (7-4) takes the court again Monday at home against St. Clair Community College at 1 p.m. to finish off the non-conference slate before the holiday break.
