The Glen Oaks Community College faced 16th-ranked (NJCAA Division II) Mid Michigan to Centreville Monday and lost 73-46 to the Lakers in a non-conference contest.
Mid Michigan jumped out to a 25-7 lead in the first quarter and eventually built a 50-21 advantage by halftime. Glen Oaks bounced back with a stronger second half to outscore the Lakers 25-23.
Amanda Barber knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 11 points for GOCC (6-2). Kylie Quist ended the night with nine points, which were all scored in the third quarter. Morgan Kurdziel and Sarah DeKoning each finished with six points, while Alea Fisher and Abby Youmans posted five apiece. Kamryn Washington and Kaytlin Smith both produced two points.
