GOCC golfers 10th at Grand Rapids Invite
Vikings open the season at Egypt Valley.
The Glen Oaks Community College men's golf team finally got to compete this spring after a string of weather cancelations. The Vikings traveled to Egypt Valley Golf Course Monday for the Grand Rapids Community College Invite, scoring 358 for 10th place.
Montcalm claimed the top spot with 323, followed by Grand Rapids (330) and Delta College (332). Mott Community College's A.J. Liguori shot a two-over-par 74 for medalist honors. Oakland's Brady Bettely was runner-up with a round of 76 and Montcalm's Mason Blair fired a 79 for third place.
Connor Triemstra led Glen Oaks with a score of 83, which was good for a share of 15th place. Graeme Herald tied for 27th with a round of 86. Fisher Edwards shot 91, Flavio Hernandez carded a 93, Gavin Lewis shot 96, Logan Pflug finished with a score of 97 and Brayden Clark finished with 119 for the Vikings.
