Unable to dig out of a 23-point halftime hole Monday, the Glen Oaks Community College men's basketball team dropped a 121-96 decision at Mid Michigan College in nonconference play.
Mid Michigan built a 69-46 lead at intermission and Zach Parks ended the night with 27 points, leading a cast of five players to reach double figures.
Glen Oaks played the Lakers pretty even in the second half but couldn't make up the ground. Jordan Lomax scored an eye-popping 39 points and had 10 rebounds for the Vikings on 15-for-26 shooting (58 percent) and an 8-for-10 effort at the foul line. Joreim Lomax produced 20 points and Amauri Moore finished with 12. Darius Styles had eight assists to go with seven points, and Moore led the squad with three steals.
The Vikings slipped to 7-5 overall and travel to Oakland Thursday for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.
