Peoria, Ill. — In a four-run hole through three innings, the Glen Oaks Community College could only find two runs in the fourth in Wednesday's 7-2 loss to Illinois Central College in Game 2 of a non-conference doubleheader.
Sam Dunlavy got the start and tossed four innings of four-hit ball with no earned runs. He struck out six batters and walked four. McCullan Greene finished things out with three hits and three earned runs allowed with four walks.
With one out in the fourth, Andrew Thorpe singled on a fly ball to left field and he'd advance to second on an error. Jackson Stewart was hit by a pitch before Erick Marin connected on a grounder to center to score Thorpe. McCullan Greene produced a sacrifice grounder to second to get Stewart home for the Vikings.
Brayden Clark was the only other GOCC player to log a hit. Steven Drewyor added a stolen base for the Vikings.
